
Current and upcoming US 60X closures and restrictions
US 60X (Main Street/Apache Trail) cross street closures planned Oct. 13-20
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following 24/7 closures and restrictions from 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, for paving work as part of the US 60X (Main Street/Apache Trail) project between Sossaman and Meridian roads:
- 80th Place will be CLOSED on the north side of Main Street.
- DETOUR: Drivers may consider taking northbound 80th Street to eastbound Akron Street to access 80th Place north of the closure.
- 81st Street will be CLOSED on the north and south sides of Main Street.
- NORTH SIDE DETOUR: Drivers may consider taking northbound 80th Street to eastbound Akron Street to access 81st Street north of the closure.
- SOUTH SIDE DETOUR: Drivers may consider taking southbound 80th Street to eastbound First Avenue to access 81st Street south of the closure.
- 83rd Place will be CLOSED on the south side of Main Street.
- DETOUR: Drivers may consider taking southbound 80th Street to eastbound First Avenue to access 83rd Place south of the closure.
- Hawes Road will be CLOSED on the south side of Main Street.
- DETOUR: Drivers may consider taking southbound 84th Way to westbound Broadway Road to access Hawes Road south of the closure.
- Glenmar Road will be CLOSED on the north and south sides of Main Street.
- NORTH SIDE DETOUR: Drivers may consider taking northbound 88th Street to westbound Boise Street to access Glenmar Road north of the closure.
- SOUTH SIDE DETOUR: Drivers may consider taking the southbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) frontage road or southbound Ellsworth Road to westbound Broadway Road to access Glenmar Road south of the closure.
Traffic shifted to inside lane while work occurs on outside lanes and driveways
US 60X (Main Street/Apache Trail) is narrowed to one lane in each direction between Ellsworth and Meridian roads to allow crews to work on paving, sidewalks, bike lanes, curbing, drainage and driveways.
Drivers will use the inside lanes while work occurs in the outside lanes. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained.
