Authorized Third Party Offices

Authorized Third Party offices are operated by private individuals or businesses that are contracted with and monitored by MVD to perform title, registration, inspection or driver services. Many third party offices offer weekend and extended hours, at locations statewide. In addition to appropriate MVD fees, a convenience fee will be collected by the third party for most transactions.

MVD Office Locations and Hours

MVD offices are closed on weekends and holidays. Office hours vary (see locations below). For most offices, please arrive before 3 p.m. for a vehicle inspection or road test and before 4:30 p.m. for all other transactions.

Road test appointments are available and walk-in customers are also welcome. High road test volumes may require some offices to stop accepting additional road test customers without an appointment when the number of customers waiting testing exceeds the current office staffing level. Road tests may be suspended due to extreme weather or safety conditions.
