This alert updates the time and date of nighttime heavy machinery operations
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists to plan for continued 24/7 lane restrictions along north- and southbound US 95 in Yuma through November as crews construct new roundabouts at the Imperial Dam and Aberdeen Road intersections.
Motorists can expect the following around-the-clock restrictions:
- North- and southbound US 95 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between Imperial Dam Road and Aberdeen Road.
- Note: Heavy machinery and crews will be active nightly from 6 p.m to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, through Thursday, Sept. 17. This overnight work may cause brief delays when heavy machinery requires access to turn around on the roadway. Flaggers and DPS troopers will be present to direct traffic through the worksite. Crews will also be conducting dirt work during the daytime hours.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.
Delays are likely, so allow extra travel time. Proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction and law enforcement personnel and equipment.
