US 93 Wickenburg Ranch Way to Vista Royale Improvements

Overview

The Arizona Department of Transportation has initiated an improvement project on US 93 approximately 6 miles north of Wickenburg (mileposts 190-195). The work includes dividing the US 93 into two lanes in each direction and other improvements.

Project Elements

• Widen US 93 to a 4-lane divided highway between mileposts 190 to 195.

• Construct two new roundabouts at Moreton Airpark Road and Nine Irons Ranch Road.
• Construct a two-way frontage road on the east side of US 93 between Nine Irons Ranch Road and Antelope Creek Road for local traffic circulation.
• Construct a new southbound bridge as well as make repairs to the existing bridge.
• Construct new curb and gutters.
• Construct a new roundabout at Moreton Airpark and Nine Irons Ranch roads.
• Provide accommodation for potential future roundabouts at Caballero and Antelope Creek
• Improve and/or install drainage, including culverts, pipes and ditches.
• Remove, replace and extend guardrails, as necessary.
• Other related work.

Project Schedule:

Construction is anticipated to begin fall 2026 and is scheduled for completion in summer 2028.

Schedule subject to change based on weather or other unforeseen factors.

What to Expect:

• Day- and nighttime lane restrictions throughout construction.
• Limited, short-term lane closures, with one lane open in each direction.
• Access to all private property will be maintained.
• Motorists should be prepared for delays when work is underway.
• The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.

ADOT reminds drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment while the lane restrictions are in place.

Project Background

In late 2025, ADOT officials made the decision to merge two US 93 improvement and widening projects into one. Thus, US 93 Vista Royale was combined with US 93 Wickenburg Ranch Way to SR 89 to create (and is now referred to as) the Wickenburg Ranch Way to Vista Royale Improvements project.
