Current and upcoming Loop 202 closures and restrictions
UPDATE: Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) weekend closure of Price Road ramp postponed
Ramp closures at McQueen and Cooper roads still scheduled for Sept. 4-11
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures as part of the Loop 202 widening project, between Loop 101 and Val Vista Drive:
(UPDATED) Weekend ramp closure at Price Road has been postponed. Another traffic alert will be sent out once the work has been rescheduled.
Nightly/weekend ramp closures (Sept. 4-11)
- The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at McQueen Road and the eastbound off-ramp at Cooper Road will be closed during the following times:
- 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5
- 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6
- 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, to 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 7
- Nightly, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning Monday, Sept. 8 through the morning of Thursday, Sept. 11
- NOTE: The two right lanes on eastbound Loop 202 will also be closed between McQueen and Cooper roads during these ramp closures.
Upcoming nightly ramp closures (Sept. 11-13)
- The eastbound off-ramp at Gilbert Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12.
- NOTE: A single right lane between Cooper and Gilbert roads will be closed during the ramp closure.
- The eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Cooper Road and the eastbound off-ramp at Gilbert Road will be closed the following times:
- 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13
- 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept 13 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14
- NOTE: The two right lanes on eastbound Loop 202 will also be closed between Cooper and Gilbert roads during these ramp closures.
LONG-TERM RAMP CLOSURES (Approximately 60 days):
Westbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Alma School Road will be closed for approximately 60 days starting 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3 for ramp reconstruction.
- DETOUR: Drivers may consider using the westbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Dobson Road.
Westbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Arizona Avenue will close at 11:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, for approximately 60 days starting for ramp reconstruction.
- DETOUR: Drivers may consider using the westbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Alma School or McQueen roads.
Westbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Price Road will close at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, for approximately 60 days starting for ramp reconstruction.
- DETOUR: Drivers may consider using the westbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Dobson Road.
Eastbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Dobson Road will close at 11:30 p.m. Monday, June 30, for approximately 60 days for ramp reconstruction.
- DETOUR: Drivers may consider using the eastbound on-ramps at Alma School or Price roads.
NOTE: Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
