IRP Registration Renewal Requirements
IRP Registration Renewal Requirements
How to Renew Your IRP
You can renew your IRP on AZMVDNow.gov if there are no changes needed. You will need to complete your renewal form and submit it to the Motor Carrier Licensing Unit for processing. Any vehicles that were added to the fleet within the past three months may not be listed on the printed renewal application (refer to “Adding Vehicles” section).
Compliance
All IFTA tax reports must be submitted and any outstanding debt owed to MVD must be satisfied prior to the processing of the renewal application. Please note, vehicle(s) added to the fleet that were issued a TPA, must satisfy all T&R requirements in order to renew.
Required Documents
Adding, Deleting, and Replacing Plates of Vehicles
Adding
If you wish to add new vehicles to this fleet, or for vehicles added within the past three months, please complete the FRP Apportioned Registration Application Schedule C (form #70-0502), TnR 96-0236, vehicle ownership documents, and submit it separately. All unpaid supplements of vehicles being added to the fleet prior to the renewal must be paid or the vehicles will be removed from the renewal application.
Deleting
You may delete vehicles online at AZMVDNow.gov. If using a Renewal Notice Form, draw a line through vehicles that appear on the pre-printed form that you want deleted from the fleet. Otherwise, an FRP-0502 form will be needed to delete a vehicle.
Replacing a Plate
You may replace your plate online at AZMVDNow.gov. If using a Renewal Notice Form, draw a line through vehicles that appear on the pre-printed form that you want deleted from the fleet. Otherwise, an FRP-0502 form will be needed to delete a vehicle.
Titles
Titles are required for all customers to obtain. You must have an apportioned registration in place. Mail your Title, certificate of origin, and other required documents to Motor Carrier to proceed.
Title Change
You may change your title by mailing required documents, including name change and removal of lessor, to Motor Carrier. If you wish to release a lien, you can do so by mailing original documents to Motor Carrier, or providing physical documents to your local MVD office.
Making IRP Changes
Changing Personal/Vehicle Information
For changes on the Renewal Invitation such as mailing/physical addresses, contact person, telephone numbers, gross vehicle weight, etc., draw a line through the incorrect information and write the correct information next to it. Please note, some changes may require additional documentation as deemed necessary by the Department.
