Project Spotlight: SR 83 gets new surface through Sonoita

ADOT rehabs 2 miles of highway serving Southern Arizona community

The $3.9 million project removed and replaced the road surface between mileposts 29 and 31, beginning just south of State Route 82. It also installed fog coating, added new pavement markings and signage, replaced guardrails and upgraded drainage.

ADOT nearing completion on I-10 Ina to Ruthrauff widening project

New Sunset Road interchange and extension set to open in mid-May

The Arizona Department of Transportation is nearing completion on a project to widen and reconstruct Interstate 10 from Ina to Ruthrauff roads in the northwest Tucson area, with all parts of the project expected to open to traffic by mid-May.

Project Spotlight: SR 72 pavement rehabilitated in Western Arizona

Surface, guardrails, signage upgraded on 10 miles through Bouse

The pavement rehabilitation project, which began last August, milled and replaced the existing pavement with new pavement between mileposts 20 and 30. In addition to new guardrails and end terminals, crews installed new fencing, signage and pavement markings, among other upgrades.

Arizona traveler information - AZ 511

AZ 511 is part of 511, the nationally-designated, three-digit telephone number for traveler information. Information on highway closures and restrictions is available by calling 511, visiting az511.gov or downloading the AZ 511 mobile app. The website and app include routing, travel times, roadwork and views from ADOT's statewide network of highway cameras. AZ 511 is maintained and operated by the Arizona Department of Transportation in cooperation with regional, state and local partners.
