MVD issues certificates of title for mobile homes in Arizona. Get your mobile home title quickly and easily at any MVD or Third Party location.
Important: MVD does not issue titles on Mobile Homes that are affixed to real property.
Get a Mobile Home Title
Bring these documents to any MVD or Third Party location:
- Signed Title Transfer Bill of Sale or current mobile home title
- Completed Title and Registration Application
- Any supporting documents for your transfer, if applicable:
- MCO
- Out of State Title
- Lien Release
- A Certificate of Compliance (before 1985) or a Certificate of Waiver (after 1985) issued by the Arizona Office of Manufactured Housing

Title Fees
You’ll receive a separate title for each section of your mobile home. The fee is $7.00 per section.
- Single-wide mobile home: $7.00
- Double-wide mobile home: $14.00 (two sections)
Late Fees
Transfer your mobile home title within 30 days of purchase to avoid late fees:
- First month late: $8.00
- Each additional month: $4.00
- Maximum penalty: $100.00
Affixing Your Mobile Home to Property
When you permanently attach your mobile home to real property, you'll surrender your MVD title.
How to affix your mobile home
- Fill out the top section of an Affidavit of Affixture form
- Bring your mobile home title, completed form to any MVD location
- You’ll need to provide a tax clearance receipt if any taxes are delinquent
- Make sure to get a lien release or letter from the lien holder or a lien will be placed on the affidavit
- Surrender your title to the MVD agent
- Take the Affidavit of Affixture to your County Recorder's office to file and record
Buying from a Business
When buying a used mobile home from a company, business, or mobile home park, make sure you get properly signed title transfer documents. This protects you and ensures a smooth title transfer.
