DOT's current Oversize and Overweight Special Permit rules are available in Title 17, Arizona Administrative Code, Chapter 6. Since publication of the final rules on August 16, 2013, industry representatives have requested that the Department further clarify the rules by making minor technical corrections that may provide additional regulatory relief for some of the industry and ensure the rules are more clear, concise, and understandable.
The Department has filed a Notice of Rulemaking Docket Opening at 27 A.A.R. 2375, October 22, 2021, and prepared the following draft rules for ODPC review:
The Department has also filed a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking at 27 A.A.R 2397, October 29, 2021 for public review and comments.
