ADOT's Name-A-Snowplow Contest receives over 1,700 entries in first 2 days
Back for another year, we’re asking for your help in naming a few of the 200 snowplows we have in our fleet. And so far, y’all have answered the call.
Since launching the contest two days ago, we’ve received just over 1,700 entries. We’re so excited to see all the creativity and participation.
We’re accepting submissions until Jan. 25, so there’s still time to send in your snowplow-themed names (your wit immortalized on the side of the plow and bragging rights are on the line.) Once submissions close, ADOT will comb through every entry and pick 10-15 finalists. The public will then vote on their favorites, and the three names that receive the most votes will be crowned the winners!
Visit azdot.gov/NameAPlow to enter the contest.
And, because we’re talking about snowplows, if you encounter a snowplow clearing a highway:
- Do not attempt to pass the plow. The snowplows are clearing the road ahead. This makes your travel easier and safer if you choose to drive during a winter storm.
- Stay at least four car-lengths behind the plow.
- Never tailgate the snowplow.
