Festive holiday signs highlight importance of safe driving

Holiday cheer has landed on our overhead signs reminding travelers to drive safely (and end up on Santa’s “nice” list) in the days leading up to Christmas.
Historically, more crashes occur in December than most other months. By displaying these traffic safety messages on overhead signs, we want to encourage motorists to make better decisions behind the wheel (or sleigh).
And even though our human noses may turn red from the cold, none of them will ever shine bright enough to direct our vehicles the way Rudolph’s nose can guide Santa’s sleigh. So, don’t forget to turn on those headlights at night, when it’s raining or snowing or anytime visibility drops.
May your days be merry and bright; have a restful holiday season. And don’t forget to jingle (safely) all the way home.
