June recap: Specialty Plate Spotlight

Each week, ADOT showcases a specialty plate on our social media platforms with the goal of drawing attention to the worthy cause or charity featured on that particular plate. 

This month, the focus was squarely on children and education.

We call this the "Specialty Plate Spotlight" and here are the plates that were featured in June:

• Supporting Arizona Education: Proceeds from this plate goes to a special fund that provides scholarships and grants to eligible teachers and students to fund continuing education.
• Empowering Today’s Youth: Money from these purchases goes toward inspiring the next generation of inventors, entrepreneurs and community leaders through Arizona 4-H.
• Keep Hearts Beating: This plate benefits the Phoenix Children's Hospital-Heart Center for critical research, education and community programs to lead children born with Congenital Heart Defects to longer, healthier lives.
• Make-A-Wish: This plate benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which creates life-changing wishes for Arizona children dealing with critical illnesses.

Each plate purchase provides $17 of the annual $25 cost to the charitable organizations they spotlight. Join the conversation on social media by letting us know what plate you have chosen and why!
