Specialty plates featured in June.

To some, license plates are simply a series of letters and numbers. To others, they are a means to express their values, interests and unique personalities.

In Arizona we have more than 100 specialty license plates featuring a wide range of causes or charities. To boost awareness, we spotlight one specialty license plate a week on social media. Here is what we showcased in June:

  • Women Veterans: $17 goes to Arizona Veterans’ Donation Fund.
  • Alzheimer's Awareness: $17 goes to research to promote the scientific understanding and early detection of Alzheimer's disease and to educate the Arizona residents about disease management.
  • Firefighter Safety Training: $17 of the fee is used to provide scholarships for life safety training of firefighters in this state.
  • Route 66: $17 dollars of the fee goes to the preservation of the historical federal highway.

Do you own one of these specialty plates? What are your reasons for purchasing the one you have? Join the conversation on social media by letting us know!
