Questions

By Caroline Carpenter / ADOT Communications

ADOT's constituent services line receives questions on a wide range of topics. To save you time and answer your burning ADOT questions, we’ve compiled a handful of our most asked questions:

QUESTION: I was involved in a car crash. Can you send me traffic-camera footage?

ANSWER: ADOT does not record our camera footage, so no footage is available.

QUESTION: I see someone driving alone in the HOV lane. Can you ticket them?

ANSWER: You’ll want to contact the Department of Public Safety for law enforcement issues.

QUESTION: Where can I get information on a road construction project or share a complaint about a construction project?

ANSWER: Visit the ADOT project page for a rundown on the project, maps and traffic alerts. If you still have questions, contact the project team by filling out our contact form or call 855.712.8530. You can also sign up for email traffic alerts.

QUESTION: Can you send me an Arizona state road map?

ANSWER: While ADOT doesn't produce a printed road map we can send you, there are resources available at azdot.gov/maps. These include an interactive look at the state highway system (see the State Highways System/SHS link) and a Map Book (a link to the latest is at top right) with PDF maps that include mileposts, scenic highways and more. In addition, the Arizona Traveler Information site at AZ511.gov has an interactive statewide traffic map. You also can contact the Arizona Office of Tourism, which will help you plan your trip by mailing you an Official State Visitor’s Guide in a packet that includes a full-size state map.

You can always contact us by filling out our contact form or calling 602-712-7355 during regular business hours. We prefer you fill out the online contact form so we can track submissions and ensure that everyone receives a response. The form also allows us to route your question to the appropriate person at ADOT, if needed. We’ll usually get back to you within two business days.
