PODCAST: Flex lanes, wider I-17 making the holiday travel season bright

With the holiday season at hand and snow beginning to become up north, the fruits of ADOT's I-17 Improvement Project are paying dividends in a big way. 

Motorists traveling to and from points north of the Valley on I-17 are benefitting from a new third lane in each direction between Anthem Way and Black Canyon City. On the grade between Black Canyon City and Sunset Point is a novel system of flex lanes that increase capacity in the direction of greatest need. That's typically northbound Monday through Saturdays and southbound on Sundays. 

Laura Douglas, our lead communicator on this massive project, joins On the Road With ADOT this week to explain what drivers have gained and how the flex lanes work. Spend a few minutes with Laura and host Doug Nintzel and you'll have the inside story when you travel through this corridor.
