PODCAST: Here's how ADOT keeps up with all that freeway landscaping

With hundreds of miles of shoulders lining Phoenix-area freeways, keeping up with all of that landscaping is a really big deal. 

Contracted cleanup crews remove a mind-boggling amount of litter, and we'd sure appreciate your help reducing that never-ending burden. Then there are team members who make sure trees, bushes and other plants remain in good shape, along with the irrigation systems that sustain those plants. 

Alexis Zaring, Environmental Program Coordinator for ADOT's Central District, discusses this and more in this week's episode of On the Road With ADOT.
