ADOT's vision includes empowering Arizona's economy. And our Southcentral District, based in Tucson, plays a big role in that.
Stretching from St. David to Ajo, and from Casa Grande and Florence to Lukeville, Sasabe and Nogales, the Southcentral District includes much of Interstate 10 in southern Arizona, all of Interstate 19 between Tucson and the U.S.-Mexico border, and part of Interstate 8. The state highways within its purview take motorists to Tombstone's OK Corral, two major military installations in Fort Huachuca and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, and to and from the University of Arizona, along with many other southern Arizona locations.
That's why this episode of On the Road With ADOT features Anthony Casselman, who is relatively new in his role as administrator for ADOT's Southcentral District. He chats with Doug Nintzel about what a district administrator does, how ADOT's maintenance and construction districts operate, and large improvement projects underway and planned in his district.
