September recap: Specialty Plate Spotlight

ADOT has more than 100 specialty license plates featuring a range of worthy causes or charities. To boost awareness, we showcase one specialty license plate each week on social media.

We call this the "Specialty Plate Spotlight" and here are the plates that were featured in September:

• Empowering Today's Youth: $17 goes toward inspiring the next generation of inventors, entrepreneurs and community leaders through the Arizona 4-H Youth Foundation.
• Amateur Radio Operator: $17 dollars of the fee goes to the Amateur Radio Council of Arizona for special fund for college scholarships, youth programs, and emergency response communications.

• $17 goes to the Arizona Department of Health Services' childhood cancer and rare childhood disease research fund.

• Beardown: $17 dollars of the initial and annual renewal fee goes to the University of Arizona for academic scholarships.
