Stay safe this St. Patrick’s Day and designate a driver

As Arizonans dig out green clothing and shamrock regalia from their closets and prepare to head out to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, we at ADOT want to remind drivers to have a game plan of how they’re getting home after the revelry is over. 

Don’t leave it up to Lady Luck. Have a plan: whether that’s hailing a rideshare vehicle, designating a driver, or phoning a friend.

If you drive on state highways this weekend, you may notice some of our overhead signs displaying a St. Patrick’s Day-themed traffic safety message. We hope that these messages will help spark conversations and ultimately lead to everyone making better decisions behind the wheel.
