The Arizona Travel ID is a federally compliant credential available as either a driver license or identification card. It meets REAL ID requirements for access to TSA airport security checkpoints and federal buildings. The Travel ID features a circle with a star in the upper right corner showing it's ready for TSA Airport Security. Be sure to apply at least two weeks before your trip to allow time for processing and shipping.

Travel ID Required: Effective May 7, 2025

Effective May 7, 2025, only a REAL ID compliant credential such as the Arizona Travel ID (driver license or ID card), a U.S. passport or other federally approved identification will be accepted at TSA airport security checkpoints for domestic travel.

Note: Rules for international travel are unchanged, and a valid passport or equivalent will be required to travel outside the United States.
