Long-term turn lane restrictions at Thomas Road and Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) begin June 1

  • The inside left turn lanes at Thomas Road to north- and southbound Loop 101 will be closed for approximately 60 days beginning 5 a.m. Monday, June 1 (one turn lane will remain open). 
    • East- and westbound Thomas Road at Loop 101 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction nightly, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights while the long-term turn lane restrictions are in place beginning Monday, June 1. Note: Left turns will still be allowed.
  • The southbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Thomas Road will be closed from 4 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 30.

Upcoming Closure

  • Northbound Loop 101 will be CLOSED between I-10 and Indian School Road from 9 p.m. Friday, May 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, June 1.

    • Detour: Drivers may consider exiting I-10 at 91st or 99th avenues and traveling north to access Loop 101 beyond the closure.

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
