Northbound Loop 101 closed between I-10 and Thomas Road Sept. 11-14

Drivers should plan for the following closures for the Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) and Interstate 10 interchange project:

  • Northbound Loop 101 from I-10 to Thomas Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14. The following ramps also will be closed:
    • The east- and westbound I-10 ramps to northbound Loop 101
    • DETOUR: Drivers may consider using 83rd, 91st or 99th avenues to connect with Loop 101 north of the closure.

UPCOMING CLOSURES

  • Southbound Loop 101 from Indian School Road to I-10 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28
 
ON-GOING RESTRICTIONS

  • Eastbound I-10 between 99th and 75th avenues will have a lane width restriction of 11 feet and a reduced speed of 55 mph from Aug. 10 to Dec. 31.

  • The inside left turn lanes at Thomas Road to north- and southbound Loop 101 will be closed for approximately 60 days beginning 5 a.m. Monday, June 8 (one turn lane will remain open). 

    • East- and westbound Thomas Road at Loop 101 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday nights while the long-term turn lane restrictions are in place beginning Monday, June 8. NOTE: Left turns will still be allowed. 

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
