UPDATE: Eastbound Loop 101 ramp to southbound State Route 51 closed Feb. 28-March 1

This advisory adds the closure of the eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Cave Creek Road

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following restrictions and closures from 5 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, to 5 a.m. Sunday, March 1, for final striping:

  • The eastbound Loop 101 ramp to southbound SR 51 will be closed.
    • Detour: Drivers may consider using southbound Cave Creek Road to eastbound Union Hills Drive to access SR 51.
  • NEW: The eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Cave Creek Road will be closed.
    • Detour: Drivers may consider using eastbound Deer Valley Road to southbound Tatum Boulevard to access eastbound Loop 101.
  • Eastbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to three lanes between Cave Creek Road and SR 51. 
  • The southbound SR 51 on-ramp at Black Mountain Boulevard will be closed.
    • Detour: Drivers may consider using eastbound Deer Valley Road to southbound Tatum Boulevard and travel west on Union Hills Drive to access SR 51. 
  • The westbound Loop 101 ramp to southbound SR 51 will be closed. 
    • Note: The westbound Loop 101 high occupancy vehicle ramp will be open for drivers to access southbound SR 51.
