US 60X (Main Street) cross street closures planned at Ellsworth, Crismon and Signal Butte roads May 26-June 4
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following cross street closures from 4 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 4, for paving work:
South Side Closures
- Ellsworth Road will be CLOSED on the south side of Main Street.
- DETOUR: Southbound Ellsworth Road drivers may consider taking eastbound Main Street to southbound Crismon Road to westbound Broadway Road to access Ellsworth Road south of the closure.
- Signal Butte Road will be CLOSED on the south side of Main Street.
- DETOUR: Southbound Signal Butte Road drivers may consider taking eastbound Main Street to southbound Meridian Road to westbound Broadway Road to access Signal Butte Road south of the closure.
North Side Closures
- Crismon Road will be CLOSED on the north side of Main Street.
- DETOUR: Northbound Crismon Road drivers may consider taking eastbound Main Street to northbound Signal Butte Road to westbound University Drive to access Crismon Road north of the closure.
ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
Ongoing: Traffic shifted to inside lane while work occurs on outside lanes and driveways
US 60X (Main Street/Apache Trail) is currently narrowed to one lane in each direction between Ellsworth and Meridian roads to allow crews to work on paving, sidewalks, bike lanes, curbing, drainage and driveways.
Drivers will use the inside lanes while work occurs in the outside lanes. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained.
