Southbound 114th Street and northbound Mountain Road closed north of Apache Trail Aug. 18-23

Additional 114th Street and Mountain Road lane restrictions planned Aug. 25-30

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following 24/7 lane restrictions beginning at 4 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, ending at noon Saturday, Aug. 23, for paving work as part of the US 60X (Main Street/Apache Trail) project between Sossaman and Meridian roads:

  • Southbound 114th Street will be CLOSED north of Apache Trail.
    • DETOUR: Southbound 114th Street drivers may consider using westbound Boise Street to southbound Mountain Road as an alternate route.
  •  Northbound Mountain Road will be CLOSED north of Apache Trail.
    • DETOUR: Northbound Mountain Road drivers may consider using eastbound Boise Street to southbound 114th Street as an alternate route.

UPCOMING LANE RESTRICTIONS (Aug. 25-30)

  • Northbound 114th Street will be CLOSED north of Apache Trail.
  • Southbound Mountain Road will be CLOSED north of Apache Trail.

Traffic shifted to inside lane while work occurs on outside lanes, driveways

US 60X (Main Street/Apache Trail) is narrowed to one lane in each direction between Ellsworth and Meridian roads to allow crews to work on paving, sidewalks, bike lanes, curbing, drainage and driveways.

Drivers will use the inside lanes while work occurs in the outside lanes. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained.
