Drivers traveling on State Route 347 should plan for lane restrictions July 16-24
Drivers should plan for extra travel time through the project corridor during overnight and weekend lane restrictions
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for lane restrictions throughout the State Route 347 Improvement Project corridor July 16-24 as paving work progresses.
ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down, follow the posted speed limit and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones. Drivers should allow for extra travel time and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
Weeknight Work
- Thursday, July 16: Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Interstate 10 to Riggs Road from 8 p.m. Thursday, July 16, to 5 a.m. Friday, July 17, for asphalt paving.
- Tuesday, July 21: Northbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Riggs Road to I-10 from 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, to 4 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, for asphalt paving.
- Wednesday, July 22: Northbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Riggs Road to I-10 from 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, to 4 a.m. Thursday, July 23, for asphalt paving.
- Thursday, July 23: Northbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Riggs Road to Maricopa Road from 8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, to 4 a.m. Friday, July 24, for asphalt paving.
Weekend Work
- Friday, July 17: Northbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Casa Blanca Road to Mammoth Way from 8 p.m. Friday, July 17, to 4 a.m. Saturday, July 18, for equipment staging.
- Friday, July 17: Northbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Riggs Road to I-10 from 8 p.m. Friday, July 17, to 4 a.m. Monday, July 20, for asphalt paving.
- Friday, July 17: Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Mammoth Way to Casa Blanca Road from 8 p.m. Friday, July 17, to 4 a.m. Saturday, July 18, for equipment staging.
- Friday, July 17: Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from I-10 to Riggs Road from 8 p.m. Friday, July 17, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 20, for asphalt paving.
Project Lookahead
During Phase 1 of the SR 347 Improvement Project, drivers should plan for lane restrictions during the overnight hours and also during some weekends.
Daytime and overnight lane restrictions will be in place during the upcoming weekend of July 25. More detailed information will be provided as the construction schedule is finalized.
The project schedule is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
