The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for daytime lane restrictions on US 180 near Eagar as work begins on a pavement rehabilitation project Wednesday, June 24.
Drivers should expect daytime lane restrictions from June 24 through June 26, while crews perform pre-construction surveys.
Pavement work will begin Monday, July 6, and drivers should expect the following restrictions from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays:
- US 180/191 will be reduced to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel in segments between Apache Drive (milepost 403) and milepost 407.
- Vehicles will be directed through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car.
- Drivers need to be prepared to make frequent stops when approaching and driving through the work zone and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.
- Restrictions will be lifted each day after work hours. No work is scheduled to take place on weekends or holidays.
The project will include the removal and replacement of pavement along the highway as well as shoulder build-up, drainage improvements and other related work.
The project is anticipated to be completed by the fall.
