Drivers will use the off- and on-ramps to move through work zone
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for overnight closures of Interstate 40 at the Perkins Valley Road (Exit 283) in Holbrook from Monday evening, June 22, to Friday morning, June 26, and Monday evening, June 29, to Friday morning, July 3, as work on the bridge rehabilitation project continues.
Drivers should expect the following restrictions nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.:

Westbound I-40 will be closed at Perkins Valley Road (Exit 283) Monday, July 22, through Tuesday, June 23, and Monday, June 29, through Tuesday, June 30.

Eastbound I-40 will be closed nightly at Perkins Valley Road (Exit 283) Wednesday, June 24, through Thursday, June 25, and Wednesday, July 1, through Thursday, July 2.

Drivers will use the off- and on-ramps at the Perkins Valley Road interchange to exit and re-enter the interstate.

Drivers should slow down, merge over safely and expect delays when approaching the work zone.

Restrictions will be lifted after work hours each morning.
The closures are needed for crews to continue building the new bridge deck.
