Custom Alert placed in Alerts region

Significant rainfall has led to flooding and forced several highways in Arizona to close for the safety of motorists.

The following highways are closed:

  • State Route 87 north of Winslow (milepost 350)
  • State Route 87 south of State Route 264 (mileposts 398-400)
  • State Route 89A between Sedona and Kachina Village (mileposts 375-397)
  • State Route 288 between mileposts 271-302
  • State Route 377 northbound north of Heber-Overgaard (mileposts 1-13)

ADOT crews are responding to rockfall incidents across northern Arizona, using plow trucks to clear roadways, making travel safer for motorists.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and avoid traveling in these areas. Motorists that choose to travel should never drive into flooded roads or washes. Hazards can be submerged in water and a few inches of running water can sweep away a car.

There is no estimated time to reopen the highways.
