Overview

The Arizona State Legislature approved funding for fiscal year 2023 to construct a screen wall on the south side of eastbound Loop 101 near 16th Street.

Project Elements

  • The screen wall was built along the south side of eastbound Loop 101, just east of 13th Street to the existing wall located just east of 16th Street.
  • The wall is approximately 1,800 feet long.
  • The height of the screen wall varies from 14 to 40 feet.
  • The existing wall along the north side of the eastbound Loop 101 frontage road (Beardsley Road) was removed.

Project Schedule

Construction began in July 2023. The project was completed May 2024.
