New to AZ - Welcome!

New to AZ - Welcome!

Welcome!

From MVD Director, Eric Jorgensen

Hello and Welcome to Arizona,

For many of you, one of the first items on your to do list as you get settled into our great state will be to obtain an Arizona Driver License and title and register your vehicles. That’s our department—the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Motor Vehicle Division (MVD)—and we want to make the transactions as quick, simple and secure as possible.

In Arizona there are more than 40 state offices where you can complete your transactions. We also have more than 160 privately operated Authorized Third Party locations throughout the state. These companies are contracted with ADOT to provide motor vehicle services. Many have extended hours and are open weekends and some holidays. Hours and locations.

Your original Arizona driver license and initial title and registration require an office visit, but after that you can conduct much of your business online at no additional cost. You’ll want to become familiar with AZ MVD Now.gov.

We hope you enjoy your Arizona experiences, and we look forward to providing outstanding customer service for all your motor vehicle needs.

Sincerely,
