Aircraft in Storage, Salvage, Under Maintenance

Aircraft may be placed in a storage, salvage or under maintenance status with Motor Vehicle Division Aircraft Registration Services by completing Application For Aircraft Registration.  Selecting any of these statuses does not exempt the aircraft from registration and fee requirements.  The following fees are due at the time the application is submitted.

• $20 storage, salvage, maintenance aircraft Tax
• $5 registration fee

The Application For Aircraft Registration must be filed annually while under this status, along with the storage, salvage, maintenance aircraft tax and registration fee.

When an aircraft is ready for use, contact the Aircraft Registration Services to update the aircraft status.  The appropriate license tax will be calculated for an active aircraft, this may be prorated based on the number of months remaining in the registration year.
