Project Spotlight: US 180 gets fresh pavement in Northeast Arizona
Pavement rehabilitated in Eagar
EAGAR – Several miles of US 180 in northeastern Arizona are giving a smoother ride to motorists following completion of a pavement rehabilitation project by the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The 4-mile-long pavement project occurred in Eagar, between Apache Drive and milepost 407. Crews improved the driving surface on US 180 by conducting chip seal repairs and microsurface treatment of the roadway. Spot repairs were done when necessary.
Along with the pavement rehabilitation, crews built up the shoulders to improve driver safety and improve drainage along US 180.
This $2.15 million project, which launched in late June, highlights ADOT’s ongoing commitment to preserving Arizona’s highway infrastructure.
