US 160 closed in both directions east of Kayenta

PHOENIX –US 160 is closed in both directions east of Kayenta, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Following heavy rain in the area, the roadway sustained damage east of Dennehotso near Laguna Wash and was closed for the safety of motorists.

Eastbound is closed at milepost 402 and westbound is closed at the US 160/US 191 junction (milepost 435).

There is no estimated time to reopen the highway. Seek an alternative route.
