Road work

Project Cost: $347,000

The Arizona Department of Transportation has initiated a project to install centerline rumble strips along State Route 169, 9 miles northeast of Dewey-Humboldt (mileposts 3-15). In addition to installing centerline rumble strips, the work includes a fog-seal pavement treatment, permanent pavement markings and other related work.

Lane splits provide crews the room they need to continue working while also keeping travel lanes open. Lane restrictions on this project take place on weekends and overnight on weeknights, so they impact fewer drivers on the road.
