The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for restrictions and delays on State Route 79 from the Fannin-McFarland Aqueduct at milepost 132 (north of Salazar Street) to Jason Lopez Circle at milepost 135 in Florence while crews perform a pavement improvement project. Crews will perform nightwork from 8 p.m. to  8 a.m. Sunday, July, 21 through Friday, July 26. The remainder of the work will be completed from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug 25. The heaviest delays are expected July 22 through July 27 while crews perform the milling and paving portion of the project. 

Drivers should prepare for:

  • A reduced speed limit of 25 mph
  • 12-ft width restriction
  • Flagging operation to help drivers navigate the area

Schedule is subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances. Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Raintree Drive restrictions in north Scottsdale planned Sept. 21-26

Northbound Loop 101 closure planned Sept. 26-29

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures and restrictions as part of the Loop 101 widening project in north Scottsdale:

  • East- and westbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard at Loop 101 will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Sunday, Sept. 21, and ending Wednesday morning, Sept. 24.
    • Eastbound Detour: Drivers may use the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to eastbound Raintree Drive to the northbound Loop 101 frontage road to access Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard east of the closure.
    • Westbound Detour: Drivers may use the northbound Loop 101 frontage road to westbound Bell Road to the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to access Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard west of the closure.
  • The westbound Raintree Drive turn lanes to southbound Loop 101/southbound frontage road will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26.
    • Detour: Drivers may use westbound Raintree Drive to southbound Hayden Road to eastbound Cactus Road to access Loop 101.

Upcoming Closures

  • Northbound Loop 101 between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive/Pima Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29. The northbound Loop 101 on-ramps at 90th Street and Via De Ventura also will be closed.
    • Detour: Drivers may consider using westbound Shea Boulevard to northbound Scottsdale Road to access Loop 101 beyond the closure.
  • The southbound Loop 101 frontage road between Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Raintree Drive will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27.
