The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists that extended 24-hour lane restrictions will be in place beginning at 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, and continuing through 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, as crews continue repaving a 3-mile segment of US 93 south of Wikieup.
Motorists should allow extra travel time and expect delays while the following restrictions are in effect:
- US 93 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between Cholla Canyon Ranch and Old Wikieup Hillside roads (mileposts 128-131).
- A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
- The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.
- Drivers are reminded to slow down, proceed through the work zone with caution and watch for construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.
The project is expected to be completed in early 2027.
