Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for north- and southbound lane restrictions along State Route 95 in Quartzsite for road striping.
The following lane restrictions will occur daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, June 2, and ending Thursday, June 5:
- North- and southbound SR 95 between Main Street and milepost 116 will be reduced to one lane. Note: Only one direction will be impacted at a time. Motorists should anticipate a 1 to 2-mile lane restriction while crews progress through the work zone.
- A 14-foot width restriction will be in place.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.
Note: The traffic signals at SR 95 and Main Street intersection will temporarily be turned off for maintenance work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, and Thursday, June 5. Motorists should be prepared for a 4-way stop or a flagging operation at the intersection.
Delays are likely, so allow extra travel time. Proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
