The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for daytime lane restrictions on US 180, locally known as Cleveland Street, and US 191, locally known as Commercial Street, in St. Johns as work begins on paving operations Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Drivers should expect the following restrictions from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays:
- US 180 will be reduced to one lane in each direction in segments between 24th W Street and US 191 (mileposts 367-369).
- US 191 will be reduced to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel near the Little Colorado River Bridge during construction. Vehicles will be directed through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car.
- Drivers need to be prepared to make frequent stops when approaching and driving through the work zone and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.
- Business and residential access will be maintained. However, there may be brief restrictions when paving work takes place directly in front of driveways and side streets.
