Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for eastbound lane restrictions on Interstate 10 in Tonopah beginning Monday, Aug. 18.
The following lane restrictions will occur daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday, Aug. 18, through Friday, Aug. 22, for guardrail construction:
- Eastbound I-10 between Salome Road and Tonopah (milepost 90) will be reduced to one lane. Note: Motorists should anticipate a 1.5-mile lane restriction while crews progress through the work zone.
- A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph.
Delays are likely, so allow extra travel time. Proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
