New project will repave an 8-mile section of Interstate 40
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Interstate 40 east of Kingman to expect overnight lane restrictions beginning Wednesday, April 22.
The restrictions are needed for a new pavement preservation project that’s starting on an 8-mile segment of eastbound I-40, between the I-40/US 93 traffic junction and Silver Springs Road (mileposts 72-80).

The following overnight restrictions will be in place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday evenings through Friday mornings:
-
Eastbound I-40 will be narrowed to one lane between the I-40/US 93 traffic junction and Silver Springs Road (mileposts 72-80).
-
A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
-
The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.
The restrictions are scheduled to remain in place through the end of the year.
ADOT reminds drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution and watch for construction personnel and equipment while construction is underway.
There are several new construction projects scheduled to start in the greater Mohave County area this year. Please see the map for a listing and location of the new projects.
