The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for overnight lane restrictions along east- and westbound State Route 289 (Ruby Road) in Rio Rico through September, for paving operations, as work continues on the SR 289, Interstate 19 to Peña Blanca Lake pavement rehabilitation project.

Motorists can expect the following restrictions weekdays from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.:

• Flagging operations will direct east- and westbound motorists through a single lane, one direction at a time, between milepost 0 and 11.
• A 12-foot vehicle width restriction on SR 289 will be in place.

• The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph in the work zone.

Drivers should obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel.
