Interstate 10 restricted overnight between Riggs Road and Gila River bridges | March 19-23
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for nightly lane restrictions in both directions along Interstate 10 between Riggs Road and the Gila River bridges March 19-23. Allow extra travel time and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
Westbound narrowed to one lane overnight between the Gila River Bridge (near SR 587) and Riggs Roadd (south of Chandler) for pavement improvement project from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights (March 19-23).
The restrictions are part of the I-10 Pavement Improvement Project: Riggs Road to the Gila River Bridges. The purpose of the project is to improve safety and driving conditions on the existing roadway and extend the life of the pavement.
