Overview
The Arizona Department of Transportation, in coordination with the Maricopa Association of Governments and the cities of Goodyear and Buckeye, is currently designing a project to improve Interstate 10 from SR 85 to Citrus Road. The project will increase capacity by adding a High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) travel lane and improve safety by adding a concrete median barrier and median lighting where applicable.
Project Elements
- Adding an HOV lane, concrete median barrier and median lighting to I-10 between SR 85 and Verrado Way, by widening the existing pavement to the inside
- Adding an HOV lane and median lighting to I-10 between Verrado Way and Citrus Rd, by widening the existing pavement to the outside
- Widening the westbound I-10 bridge over Citrus Road
- Additional lighting in the corridor where applicable
- Noise abatement where warranted
