Current and upcoming I-17 closures and restrictions
I-17 lane restrictions, ramp closures at Anthem Way, Daisy Mountain Drive and Pioneer Road scheduled Oct. 24-Nov. 2
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following overnight closures and restrictions in north Phoenix as part of the Interstate 17 pavement project between State Route 74 and Anthem Way:
INTERSTATE 17
- North- and southbound I-17 will be narrowed to one lane in areas between SR 74/Carefree Highway and Anthem Way nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, Oct. 26, and ending Sunday morning, Nov. 2.
- NOTE: Work will start at 9 p.m. on nights when northbound I-17 is narrowed to one lane.
ANTHEM WAY
- The northbound I-17 off-ramp at Anthem Way will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, Oct. 26, and ending Tuesday morning, Oct. 28.
- Detour: Drivers may consider using eastbound Daisy Mountain Drive to northbound Gavilan Peak Parkway/North Valley Parkway to access Anthem Way.
PIONEER ROAD
- Pioneer Road at I-17 will be narrowed to one lane nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, Oct. 26, and ending Tuesday morning, Oct. 28.
- NOTE: Flaggers will assist drivers through the work zone.
DAISY MOUNTAIN DRIVE
- The southbound I-17 on- and off-ramps at Daisy Mountain Drive will be closed nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Tuesday, Oct. 28, and ending Friday morning, Oct. 31.
- On-ramp Detour: Drivers may consider using eastbound Daisy Mountain Drive to southbound Gavilan Peak Parkway/North Valley Parkway to westbound Pioneer Road to access I-17.
- Off-ramp Detour: Drivers may consider using the southbound I-17 off-ramp at Anthem Way to southbound Gavilan Peak Parkway/North Valley Parkway to access Daisy Mountain Drive.
NOTE: Consecutive I-17 on- and off-ramps will not be closed simultaneously. These restrictions will not occur all at the same time. Crews will be moving around the area each night based on progress.
