
Current and upcoming Loop 101 closures and restrictions
Northbound Loop 101 closed between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive/Pima Road Sept. 12-15
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures as part of the Loop 101 widening project in north Scottsdale:
- Northbound Loop 101 between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive/Pima Road will be closed beginning 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, and ending 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15. The northbound Loop 101 on-ramps at 90th Street and Via De Ventura also will be closed.
- Detour: Drivers may consider using westbound Shea Boulevard to northbound Scottsdale Road to access Loop 101 beyond the closure.

Arizona Cardinals fans in the East Valley who normally would use this stretch of northbound Loop 101 to travel toward Glendale for Sunday’s game can consider using alternate freeway routes including westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) to northbound State Route 51 to reach Loop 101 beyond the closure.
Restrictions and closures planned for Raintree Drive, Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Bell Road Sept. 6-12
Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard
- CANCELED: The southbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Sunday, Sept. 7, and ending the morning of Friday, Sept. 12, for painting.
- Westbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed between 90th Street and Loop 101 from 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, for lane striping.
- Detour: Drivers may use southbound 90th Street to westbound Raintree Drive to northbound Hayden Road to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard or southbound 90th Street to westbound Raintree Drive to the Loop 101 frontage road.
- NOTE: There will be no access to businesses north of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard between 90th Street and Loop 101 from 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11.
- At the same time, the southbound Loop 101 frontage road right turn lane to westbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed.
- Detour: Drivers may continue on the frontage road to westbound Raintree Drive to northbound Northsight Boulevard to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.
- Detour: Drivers may use southbound 90th Street to westbound Raintree Drive to northbound Hayden Road to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard or southbound 90th Street to westbound Raintree Drive to the Loop 101 frontage road.
- Eastbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard will be closed at Loop 101 from 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, for lane striping.
- Detour: Drivers may use the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to eastbound Raintree Drive to the northbound Loop 101 frontage road to access Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard east of the closure.
Bell Road
- UPDATED: Westbound Bell Road will be closed nightly at Loop 101 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Tuesday, Sept. 9, and ending Thursday morning, Sept. 11, for lane striping.
- Detour: Drivers may consider using the northbound Loop 101 frontage road to westbound Pima Road to the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to access Bell Road.
- Eastbound Bell Road will be closed at Loop 101 from 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, for lane striping.
- Detour: Drivers may consider using the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to eastbound Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to the northbound Loop 101 frontage road to access Bell Road.

Southbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Raintree Drive closed for approximately 60 days beginning Sept. 2
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following long-term (approximately 60-day) ramp closure for reconstruction as part of the current Loop 101 widening project:
- The southbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Raintree Drive will be closed for approximately 60 days beginning 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2.
DETOUR: Drivers may consider using the southbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and using the southbound Loop 101 frontage road to Raintree Drive.
Northbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Raintree Drive closed for approximately 60 days beginning July 20
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following long-term (approximately 60-day) ramp closure for reconstruction as part of the current Loop 101 widening project:
- The northbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Raintree Drive will be closed beginning at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, July 20, for approximately 60 days, for ramp reconstruction.
DETOUR: Drivers may consider using the northbound Loop 101 frontage road to the northbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.
