Be alert for intermittent rolling closures during weekdays on east- and westbound Loop 303 between I-17 and Lake Pleasant Parkway

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to be alert for intermittent rolling closures on east- and westbound Loop 303, between I-17 and Lake Pleasant Parkway, during the weekdays, between 9 and 11 a.m. and 7 and 9 p.m., from early December (2022) through late January.

The closures are needed so trucks and large equipment can cross back and forth over Loop 303. Signs will warn motorists of the closures.

Upcoming Restrictions/Closures

  • Westbound Loop 303, between I-17 and Lake Pleasant Parkway, will be narrowed to one lane overnight from 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8.
  • Westbound Loop 303, between I-17 and Lake Pleasant Parkway, is scheduled to be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12.
    • The I-17 off-ramps at Loop 303 will be restricted with access limited to eastbound Sonoran Desert Drive. Westbound Sonoran Desert Drive access to the north- and southbound I-17 on-ramps will remain open.

Detour: Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes including westbound State Route 74 to southbound Lake Pleasant Parkway to connect to westbound Loop 303 beyond the closure.
