Overview

The Arizona Department of Transportation, in partnership with the Maricopa County Department of Transportation and the Town of Gilbert, improved Mews Road between Higley Road and 172nd Street. These improvements included:

  • Paving Mews Road from Higley Road to just west of 172nd Street
  • Constructing a drainage channel on the south side of Mews Road
  • Installing a new 36-inch concrete storm drain pipe east of the Higley/Mews roads intersection
  • Pouring new sidewalk and ramps at the Mews/Higley roads intersection
  • Constructing new curb, gutters and residential driveways

Project Schedule

Construction began in late March 2026, and was completed in October.
