Cornville Road Improvements

This project is complete

There will be an 11-foot width restriction on Cornville Road through October from Ravenroost Road to Beaverhead Flat Road.

Overview

Project Cost: $4 million

The Arizona Department of Transportation is improving the roadway along Cornville Road (County Road 30) from Tissaw to Chick roads and from Ravenroost to Beaverhead Flat roads. The project is located in the community of Cornville, located east of the city of Cottonwood.

Project Elements

• Widening the existing shoulders (between Ravenroost and Beaverhead Flat only).
• Installing rumble strips.
• Constructing drainage facilities.
• Replacing guardrail, signage and pavement markings.
• Other related work.

Project Schedule

The work is scheduled to begin this spring with final completion anticipated for late fall/early winter 2023.

What to expect:

ADOT advises drivers to plan for possible delays while work is underway. 

• Daytime lane restrictions from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
• Cornville Road will be intermittently narrowed to one lane only with alternating east- and westbound travel.
• Flaggers and a pilot car may be used when the roadway is narrowed to one lane only. 
• No work is anticipated to take place on weekends or holidays.
