Overview

Project Cost: $5,900,000

The Arizona Department of Transportation is initiating a project to improve a 15-mile stretch of US 89A, southeast of Fredonia and about 20 miles from the Utah state line (mileposts 579 - 594). The project in Coconino County includes removing the existing asphalt and replacing it with new pavement. It also includes pavement markings, rumble strips and other related work.

What to expect:

While paving work is underway, motorists will encounter daytime lane restrictions and travel delays. Throughout the paving work, portions of the roadway will be narrowed to one lane only of alternating north- and southbound travel. On-site flaggers will help drivers through the work zone. ADOT advises drivers to plan for possible delays while the work is underway.
