Contents

Overview

The Arizona Department of Transportation started construction on the Interstate 10: Amole Interchange and Union Pacific Railroad Bridge Rehabilitation Project in November 2025. The purpose of this project is to maintain the structural integrity of the four existing bridges and improve traffic operations in the project area.

Project Elements:

  • Rehabilitate the deck of the existing four bridges and the roadway adjacent to them.
  • Remove and replace the guardrails within the limits of the project.
  • Install new raised pavement markers on I-10 within the limits of the project.

What to Expect

  • Traffic control devices will guide motorists through the construction area. Expect temporary delays as traffic is redirected through a single lane of travel.
  • During construction a 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 MPH.
  • ADOT will provide advance notice of restrictions and closures to email subscribers.
